Nestled on the outskirts of West Down village and just a few miles from award winning beach, is this delightful little two bedroom cottage set amongst three gardens with a BBQ area, a tennis court, playing field, games room and fenced dog exercise field. Sunny terrace with a patio table set for four together and free car parking. The properly sleeps four people including children.
Honeysuckle Cottage, dating back to the 1800s, has been converted from the original farm stables and barns, is the end terrace, set within a courtyard of nine cottages with far reaching views of the countryside and the North Devon coast.
We accept one dog, perhaps two depending on amount of occupants. Fenced dog exercise field.
The ground floor of the cottage includes a lounge , small kitchen complete with hob, cooker/microwave and a recently renovated shower room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed which can converted into small twin beds on request and the other a double bed. The cottage has internet, a smart TV with access to streaming channels such as Netflix, prime and a DVD player with DVD library. All linen and bath towels are provided. It is the perfect base for exploring and enjoying the stunning North Devon coast and countryside, Exmoor or the many nearby attractions any time of year.
The village of West Down can be easily reached by car or a 15 minute walk. The village has a convenience store, pub with restaurant and a church dating back to Norman times. Honeysuckle cottage is just a few miles from the dramatic North Devon coast which includes the best beaches and surf in the South West including Woolacombe, which is renowned for its 3 mile stretch of golden sand, Croyde and Saunton sands. The picturesque fishing villages of Lynton , Lynmouth and Clovelly are within easy reach as well as beautiful Exmoor. The Victorian town of Ilfracombe and its delightful harbour and cafes is close by. For walkers and cyclists the South West Coastal Path and Tarka Trail is easily accessible.
